AmBank recognised as one of Asia’s outstanding companies for corporate governance

According to the Sun Daily, AmBank Group was named “Asia’s Outstanding Company” at the recent Ninth Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Awards 2013 held in Manila, the Philippines.

Corporate Governance Asia is a Hong Kong-based quarterly journal featuring news and analysis on corporate governance issues, boardroom performance and shareholder activism.

“We are honoured to be recognised as one of Asia’s outstanding companies for corporate governance. This award is a testament to the group’s commitment to embodying values of accountability, integrity and governance in its business operations,” said AmBank Group managing director Ashok Ramamurthy in a statement today.

“The group has established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations,” he added.
